The Director of New Student Recruitment and Church Vocations here at Garrett-Evangelical is Reverend Diane Bogues-Hill. Diane is on the road most of the year enthusiastically telling people about who we are as a seminary. As a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical and as an elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church she cares deeply about walking with people on their journey of discernment regarding Christian service and seeks to help persons learn about the many ways Garrett can resource and help prepare people to serve Christ in the Church, Academy , and Word. She loves to share the Word of the living God wherever and whenever she can and is also gifted at creating beautiful, holy places for welcome and hospitality.

Dancer, Minister, First Lady, Administrator, Student, Wife, Mother of three lovely girls and gifted child of God, LaTonya lives all of these roles daily with beauty, fluidity and grace. A native of Detroit, LaTonya is itenerant deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Church of the Chicago Annual Conference. An exceptional organizer and consummate professional, as the Assistant Director of Admissions she sensitively cares and counsels students as they journey through the application process. She lives her life as a great dancer with the Almighty - skillfully adjusting to the varied rhythms if life. As in the poem by Linda Staten, LaTonya "yearns to be poetry in motion and with disciplined devotion to create a thing of beauty. Just to soar in a moment free and aerial, to rise magically ethereal, like and angel in a gossamer swirl - Just to dance."

Jason the "book man" is a recent graduate of the Masters of Theological Studies Program and is currently a student in the Doctor of Philosophy Program here at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He is called the "book man": because he does everything with a book not being far from his hand. With that being said, Jason enjoys reading. On the admissions team he serves as the coach of campus visits, demonstrating wonderful hospitality, coordinating class visits, faculty meetings, and student hosts for all prospective students. Jason is also the center baseman of the office, helping to facilitate daily office operations. When you come to the Recruitment and Admissions Office you will always be greeting with a warm smile and high energy from Jason.
